Marcus Oldham College.

Surge Productions collaborated with the Marcus Oldham College, to produce a tribute film that serves as a lasting homage to Stewart McArthur’s enduring legacy.

Marcus Oldham College, a premier institution for agricultural, equine, and farm management education, announced the bestowment of a Bluestone Chair in honour of Fergus “Stewart” McArthur AM. This prestigious recognition celebrates Stewart's remarkable 50-year tenure on the College Council, marking a significant milestone in the institution's history.

In 2024, Stewart McArthur, a distinguished former member of the Australian Parliament and a dedicated advocate for education and rural development, was honoured for his unwavering commitment and contributions to Marcus Oldham College. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the college's future and enhancing its reputation as a leader in agricultural and agribusiness education.

To commemorate this occasion, Surge Productions was engaged to produce a tribute film that not only celebrates Stewart's legacy but also showcases the college's innovative curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities. The film highlights the pivotal role of alumni and benefactors like Stewart in the development of new infrastructure, including the recently completed 45-bed accommodation wing.

The tribute film aims to inspire future generations of students to pursue their passions and contribute to the advancement of rural and regional Australia

Surge Productions interviewing Stuart McArthur for the tribute film they produced for Marcus Oldham College based in Geelong, Victoria.

“Working with Surge Productions, has been a professional and rewarding experience and the end result was more than we expected. Shane and his team managed to capture the unique culture and ‘story’ we were aiming to achieve for our Agriculture College in Geelong. They were incredibly organised, calm and patient given the number of people interviewed and different settings filmed throughout our College. We are already planning another idea/story to film later this year with Surge Productions with the knowledge of how good the end result will be.”
